Hej, we are Jenni and Sandra. Two women from Germany and Sweden, brought together by a longing for a more adventurous, fulfilling lifestyle, homeschooling, cake and the series of Outlander.
Anam Cara is a slow fashion Company on Bornholm, Denmark, specialized in producing timeless pieces out of natural fibers. Bornholm is a picturesque island of cliffs, charming coastal villages, rolling landscapes dotted with colorful flower fields. The island inspires us with its ancient ruins, artisanal crafts & a diverse international population.
Anam cara is a Gaelic expression.
Anam = soul, Cara = friend.

All of our garments are created from OEKO-TEX-certified linen, sustainable, or natural fibers and we sew every garment locally made-to-order on Bornholm, supporting local skilled labor & women-owned ateliers. Each piece is crafted with love and care for the environment and you. Our made-to-order procedure ensures that we use as little resources as necessary.
